The Employee Assistance Program (E.A.P) is a short term counselling program available to all Employees, Elected Officials and their immediate family members.

Employees and Elected Officials experiencing personal or work related problems may seek counselling and referrals through the Employee Assistance Program.

Cost of the program is of $4.00 per employee per month and includes three sessions per event. When Municipalities are enrolling Employees, they will be required to enroll all Employees in the program. When Municipalities are enrolling Elected Officials, they will be required to enroll all Elected Officials. The exception to these enrollment requirements are for Employees or Elected Officials who are covered under an alternate plan for example a spousal benefit or, for Elected Officials, benefits from a plan provided by their employer. Coverage will begin on the first day of enrollment and cease upon termination of employment or position as an Elected Official.
