   3 - Performance Review Official Discipline and System Implementation

Description Maximum 30 particiants per class, first-come basis. Friday, June 8, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. Canad Inn 2401 Saskatchewan Avenue Portage La Prairie Who Should Attend: This set of workshops has been designed specially for Municipal Government administrators, managers and supervisors - anyone who manages the performance of others, including employees in the office or working externally. Day 1and 2 are prerequisites for attendance. Workshop Outline: Participants learn and practise the interpersonal skill of conducting an official disciplinary interview, and review the legal and documentation requirements related to this sensitive and last resort procedure. Participants also learn a simple, effective Performance Review process as part of the Performance Management System, and the steps required to successfully implement the Mansis Performance Management System into their operation. Benefits of this Workshop Include: Strengthen your confidence to deal with long-standing employee performance problems. Learn how Performance Review can be a simple and meaningful part of the process for leading and developing employees. Learn the steps and begin the process required to implement this simple and very effective Performance Management System into your Municipal Administration and secure your investment in this Program. Workshop Duration: Each class starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m., with a one hour lunch break Workshop Presenter: Robert H. (Bob) Kent, Ph.D., CAFA Dr. Kent is a specialist in the management of small and medium-sized organizations. Since 1972 he has lectured in management at several Canadian universities, and has worked with hundreds of public and private organizations to implement skills, systems and procedures to successfully manage people.
